The Thirsty Farmer is proudly run by David, who took on the pub in 2024 with a clear goal—to create a welcoming spot for locals and visitors to enjoy great food, quality drinks, and a friendly atmosphere. Having successfully turned around pubs before, he was keen to bring his experience to The Thirsty Farmer and make it a place the community could be proud of.
Being from the local area, David knows what makes a great British pub. Whether you’re relaxing by the log burners, enjoying a game of pool, or making the most of the beer garden, this Whimple pub is a place to unwind and enjoy good company.

Dog Friendly Pub
We LOVE dogs and love it when your four legged friends visit. They’re guaranteed a fuss and a treat. We can offer them fresh water and treats are available at the bar.
All we ask is that you keep your pooch on a lead at all times.
Cosy Woodburners
Nothing beats a roaring fire, and we have two woodburners, perfectly for seating with a hot chocolate in front of in the winter months.
